Have you seen them?

We've been looking and looking but they are so sneaky! Do you want to have a sneak peak into our gingerbread unit? Here you go!

This is the book we are going to "research" tomorrow to see if we notice what might make the gingerbread critters feel safe and return to.

This is the project that we will be making if our research discovers that a gingerbread critter might feel safest at home.

We received a note in class from our critters. They asked us to sound out words and write them. It turns out that their 12th favorite word is our name!

This is a picture of "snow" writing. We write letters in paint to create painted paper for a project in January. It's helpful for seeing that you need your whole body to create a letter and not just your finger tips. Did you know it takes your whole arm and shoulder to make your writing happen?

Here is our character study of gingerbread kids in the hallway.

This is our setting study. Note the blue sky and supporting characters in the background. They were very detailed in what needed to be in the setting. There are schools and pig farms to help out the gingerbread critters.

This is a poster of the title, author, illustrator, setting, and characters in the book "The Gingerbread Cowboy."

Today we were sequencing the events in "The Gingerbread Girl." Some worked alone...

And some worked together.
