Pennies For Patients

Hello Everyone,

There was a paper flier that went home in their backpacks yesterday explaining the "pennies for patients" coin drive. Mr. Nick's section of the newsletter should have also contained some information as well, but if you're not getting the newsletter please let me know. I know that sometimes the newsletters can start to be a little like white noise in this crazy time of the year with all the preparations for winter break. If you're not getting them though, I'll e-mail Sam so we can get you covered.

Pennies for Patients is a yearly drive we do to try to inspire a seasonal sense of giving and "filling someone's bucket." Ask your child what it means to fill a bucket. :) The drive is still going on and will be for a while. Today I'm sending home the coin boxes. I'm sending them home separately so parents had time to read the paper letter and talk with their children if they want to participate or not. It's not mandatory. It can be as simple as a penny you found on the sidewalk (we get a lot of those in kindergarten).

A final note: Tomorrow is western day! Yahoo! Please still dress warmly. :)

Cheers,
Jessica Sipp
