Math Work

During our "Math Work" stations we are able to meet the diversity and complexity of needs for each student by providing a variety of pracitce. Her are just a few examples.

Spacial and shape recognition. Note the blank shape puzzles for the more complex needs of those no longer working on just shape recognition.

Dice games for rote counting, one to one correspondence, and number recognition. Not to mention fun!

One hundred chart writing. We work on number recognition, patterns, and counting.

"Five gold coins" is a sneaky addition game. Some simply work on counting each color, while others are working on the many numbers and ways you can add them together to make five.

"Hungry Caterpillar" game is another spacial and shape recognition game. We make our own spinners and use the shape to see how many ways we can make a hexagon.
